What is Clashables?
Clashables is a two-player collectable card game where players build decks of 30 cards and use them to summon creatures, play magical spells, and roll dice to attack and outwit their opponent. The goal? Knock your opponent’s life points down to zero and win the most ridiculous battle. Think of it like chess… if the pawns were cats and the king occasionally exploded!
What Are They Learning?
While your child is having a blast battling with zombies and princesses, they’re also developing a wide range of real-world skills:
- Math Skills: Through counting, dice rolling, and tracking life points
- Critical Thinking: Choosing cards, planning combos, and timing attacks
- Strategy: Balancing offence and defence, managing risk, and reading opponents
- Literacy: Reading the card effects and interpreting the game rules
- Creativity: Engaging with silly, fun characters and imagining wild storylines
- Social interaction: Learning to win (and lose!) with grace
Is It Age-Appropriate?
Yes! Clashables is designed with families in mind. There’s no mature content, violence is cartoon-style (think wacky spells and bonked goblins), and the tone is light-hearted and humorous. We recommend Clashables for ages 8 and up, though younger players may enjoy the artwork and storytelling with a bit of help from an older sibling or adult.
Does It Cost Anything?
Clashables is a collectable card game, which means players can start with a ready-to-play deck and choose to expand their collection over time with new cards. That said, we’ve worked hard to keep the game fun and fair without requiring constant purchases. A single 30-card deck is all your child needs to play and enjoy the game.
We also provide a bunch of free resources online to help you dive straight into the chaos... including the full rulebook for all your “wait, can I do that?” moments, easy-to-follow ‘How to Play’ videos, and even free-to-enter events where you can test your deck (and your luck) against other clashing champions.
Can We Play As a Family?
Absolutely... and we encourage it! Clashables is quick to learn, fun to play, and full of laugh-out-loud moments. It’s a great game to play with children, whether you’re a seasoned gamer or completely new to card games.
